Cherry Blossom Thank You

This is the Thank You card for the Cherry Blossom-themed wedding. The front of the card is a very pale green that has been whitewashed. In fact, it's so light I had to do a little fudging with my scanner just to get the green to show up. The Cherry Blossom motif has been carried over and the words, "With Love & Thanks" is printed in blossom pink (doesn't appear pink because of the afore mentioned scanner fudging) on the bottom right corner of the card.

My bride was very, very happy!!

Hello,

My name is Margaret Powell and I am a fashion historian. I am currently writing a book about Ann Lowe (the fashion designer) and I came across a comment that you wrote on an article about her:

"Diva, The Creator said...
If someone knows how to get in touch with the poster Tanisham, please let me know. I grew up in Queens, NY and was babysat by a woman named Ruth Alexander, who we all called "Nan" as she was my Godsister & Godbrother's grandmother. She was the assistant to Anne Lowe (who I grew up calling "Miss Anne)during the time Jackie Kennedy's dress was made and later took care of her when she went blind. Miss Ann lived with Nan up until she died in the early 80's. I remember climbing in bed with her and cuddling and how she knew each and every one of us by the sound of our footsteps on the stairs on in the hallway..."

In my project, I am following Ann Lowe's career through examples of her work and interviews with previous clients and their families (dating as far back as some clothing orders from 1916) and, to bring my project full circle, I am hoping to interview people who knew Ms. Lowe in the 1970s and early 1980s (towards the end of her life). I was wondering if you would be willing to share your memories of Ann Lowe with me?

Thanks very much for taking a moment to read about my project. This will be the most comprehensive and in depth look at Ann Lowe's long and distinguished career, and one main goal that I have with this project is to be able to include stories about Ann Lowe that will help to bring her back into the telling of her own story.

For a little more information about my work, here is an article about Ann Lowe that I recently wrote for the National Archives website:

and also an interview that took place when I was studying one of Ms. Lowe's wedding gowns 2 years ago in Delaware:

Thank you,
